Have you used Classmates.com to reconnect?

I have not convinced myself I need to go for the "gold membership" on Classmates.com to reconnect. Some of the information, if its there, is fairly old. Have you used this site, and has it been a positive experience for you?

Have you used Classmates.com to reconnect?
I have used it, but not gold. I did find out about a class reunion on it.
Reply:It is not worth paying the money to join because you can find people and send them messages but they cannot reply because they haven't joined. Report It

Reply:I would never use it, simply because 96% of the those with whom I graduated High School want nothing more than to see me dead. I was kind of, um, a local celebrity shortly after graduation. There was a situation, and I prevailed.

Reply:I only use the free version. I don't even know why I joined it. I guess it was the thing at the time. Now i use facebook and myspace to reconnect since they're free to send messages and such.
