Can you please paraphrase : "ashamed of her classmates"?

-------------------

A few days ago Tina was *ashamed of her classmates* because she could not solve math problems on the blackboard. She was upset and blamed herself, “I am a stupid girl.”

Can you please paraphrase : "ashamed of her classmates"?
"SHAMED BY her classmates" might work better, since she is ashamed of herself and projecting this negative opinion onto her classmates. If she could solve the math problems and none of them could, then it would be more appropriate to say she was ashamed of them.
Reply:embarrased
Reply:embarrassed
Reply:The sentence itself, the way it stands is really not easy to interpret. Why would the girl be ashamed of classmates because SHE couldn't solve a problem on the board? I really can't see why one would be ashamed of others because of her lack. I don't see what the other students have to do with it.

Sorry.
