Should you Feel Proud about your job compared to former classmates who are succeeding?

and your former classmates are managers, executives, this and that. Engineers, etc. while you are just an entry level clerk doing filing etc, even having gone to University. I'm totally fine with it but i feel society, my parents, and anyone else that would know me would think i'm stupid, low life, that i should be doing better. And yes, maybe i should be doing better but i don't have the personality to do other things, like i'm not good at talking, so customer service by phone and things like that is not my thing, i work better in the background.

Should you Feel Proud about your job compared to former classmates who are succeeding?
You should be proud of your own achievement/s. What is important is whether you are happy and contented. I bet you that an Engineer or a Manager may not even know how to do filing.
Reply:yes i feel that you should as a person should always feel good about what you are doing. even if you have a degree are not it how well you do your job that counts. im a nurse asst and i use to be a shamed of my job because i felt like i should be doing more but i make alot more money than some of my friends. i like helping people and thats what counts
Reply:yeah
Reply:everyone has to start somewhere, maybe one day you will still be a manager as you grow professionally. it is good you are getting some experience now. I went straight into management and it can be stressful and a burnout. enjoy less responsibility while you can afford to do so.
Reply:You should just be proud to be who you are. If you are happy with being a clerk, then so be it.

I know a lot of CFO and CEO types that are all work work work, and really aren't that happy with life b/c of the stress and pressures of work.
Reply:Yeah, be proud of yourself. You might not be a CEO, but your aren't in jail or a deadbeat. There will always be someone out there more prettier or successful, so you have to stop comparing yourself to others and accept yourself.
Reply:My ex-girlfriend wrote Chocolat.

I was envious until she told me she based the Johnny Depp role on me.
