What makes a person want to take a gun out and kill his or her fellow classmates... what makes anyone kill?

Youve heard lately about the Virgina Tec shooting. the Columbine shooting... and i personaly go to Santana High School where their was a school shooting 6 years ago. my question is what makes a person come to the sanctuary of school and decided to kill the his or her classmates...

What makes a person want to take a gun out and kill his or her fellow classmates... what makes anyone kill?
This is a very hard question in terms of science, as almost all mass murderers intend suicide at the end of the killing spree, and most succeed. All that can really be said is that they are people who have been rejected by the small society they know and plan to revenge themselves upon anyone who isn't them. The psychology of mass murderers, insofar as anything is known about it, tends to resemble that of modern assassins of prominent people.
Reply:problems!
Reply:its such a sad thing.. but must be some deep rooted depression and anger and feeling of low self worth
Reply:A clouded vision of reality... in their mind it was all rational!
Reply:Anger some ppl cant take being abused or picked on or even angry. They take it out on others.
Reply:maybe the classmates were treating the person poorly

ive had the urge, but i wouldnt do that, lol

see, and the person right above me is the main reason emo ppl act the way they do, not jus emo pll but all ppl who r verbally abused.
Reply:A person who can't cope with the realities of life is the most likely to be a killer. He thinks he has been mistreated, (and in some cases this is true) so he thinks the ultimate revenge is to kill. He may be depressed about a loss. I also blame the violence in movies and television, where people routinely kill their enemies as a form of revenge. Any an unstable person will brood about things that bother him until he has worked up a righteous anger and he sometimes doesn't really realize that his doing something wrong, just that he is getting even.
Reply:Are you the type of person that always keeps their cool no matter what? Imagine always being nice, or quiet and just letting things go. "Like water off a duck's back." Now imagine something bad happening to you for no reason, like someone "keying" your car. You know who they are, but you can't prove it. Now imagine this happenning day after day. Finally, you are going to snap and confront them, or attack their car. Some people have a higher breaking point or just more problems. Eventually they snap, full of hate, vengence and uncontrolled anger behind them. That's why you always hear the comment "He/she was such a quiet person".
Reply:I think it must be anger and jealousy. They feel so hurt and angry that they want others to feel that way too. Once they decide to die themselves, it's not a big step to take out some other people as well, so why not make it as many innocent people as you can and go down in history, or at least be the big news story for a while?
Reply:the fact that it could feel to them like no one gives a flip about them and every one is mean to them
Reply:Extremely disturbed. God bless****
