I would love to keep in touch with old friends but I HATE classmates.com. Even if you spend the bucks and go "gold", it's still a waste if ALL of your friends are not "gold". There used to be a few good alternatives to that site. Any suggestions?

I too got suckered into the whole Classmates, honestly I like Myspace. I am 32 years old, and have reconnected with a lot of old friends. Also, there is another site classfinder.com totally free. Good luck!!!
